Management and Marketing
For a non-renewable, 1 year permit:
- Baccalaureate Degree;
- 6 semester hours of core courses;
(for example, courses in keyboarding, typewriting, basic organization and management principles, business English, business communications, computers, economics, etc.)
- 6 semester hours in Management and/or Marketing Courses;
and
- 6 additional semester hours in business related areas
(for example, courses in additional management or marketing, computers, business English, business communications, management information systems, business law, business ownership, business math, accounting, recordkeeping, economics, etc.)
For a non-renewable, 3 year provisional license:
- All of the requirements for the permit;
- 3 semester hours (or 30 clock hours at an approved professional
school association) of coursework in methods of teaching; and
- 1 year of approved teaching experience (or college supervised student teaching or 1 year of appropriate work experience).
- All of the requirements for the provisional license;
- 12 additional semester hours (beyond those required for the
permit) in business or business related courses;
- 3 semester hours (or 60 additional clock hours at an approved
professional school association) of coursework in professional
education; and
- 1 additional year of teaching experience beyond the requirement for the provisional license.
