Jordan Lynn Closing

August 13, 2008

Dear Students of the Jordan Lynn School for Appearance Enhancement:

The Jordan Lynn School for Appearance Enhancement closed in early July of 2008 without the required notice as per Section 5001(8) of the Education Law.  However, the school director did inform the New York State Education Department, Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision (BPSS) that all students had completed their education.

Students who need assistance in determining their rights to refunds, transcripts and or other matters should contact BPSS by writing to:

Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision

89 Washington Avenue
Room 962, Education Building Addition
Albany, New York 12234

You can also contact BPSS at (518) 474-3969 or by sending an electronic message to: BPSS@MAIL.NYSED.GOV

If you want to claim a refund the school might owe you or for a copy of your records/transcripts, you will need to fill out a BPSS-154 Complaint Form PDF Image Icon (41KB). A staff member will be assigned to assist you after the form has been sent to us. The form is available on our website at www.acces.nysed.gov/bpss.

You should check periodically our website for additional information concerning the closing of Jordan Lynn School for Appearance Enhancement.

Sincerely, the Staff of the Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision
