The Template Search Function is completed from outside of a case.
This function allows you to search for Templates by Template Type and Template Name as well as by SOC Code, Employment Goal, SE Goal, Service Options, Authorization Type, Service Provider and Start Date of Service.
To search for a template, from the CaMS Main Menu:
Click: Search Templates
The Search Templates window displays. The Template Type defaults to User and the User Name defaults to the user signed on to CaMS.
An entry must be made in Template Name before the search can begin. Other fields may be completed, as appropriate. The search will result in a list of templates that contain the information entered.
To compete information for Search Templates function:
|Template Type||Required. Defaults to User. To search for all Template Types, click: Statewide checkbox, District Office checkbox and leave User checkbox as checked. To narrow the search to a specific Template Type, click appropriate checkbox: Statewide, District Office and/or User. To remove the checkbox from a Template Type checkbox, click the checkbox.|
|User Name||Defaults to name of user that is signed onto CaMS. Becomes disabled if User checkbox (Template Type) is deselected.|
Required. Enter name of template or use wild card character (*), as appropriate. The wild card character is useful, if the Template Name is not known or only part of the name is known. The wild card character may be used in any of the following ways:
*characters (lists those templates whose name begins with any characters and ends with the characters entered.)
characters* (lists those templates who name begins with the characters entered and ends with any characters.)
*characters* (lists those templates whose name begins with any characters, contains the characters entered and ends with any characters.)
*(lists all templates for the designated Template Type.)
|SOC Code||Optional. Enter SOC code if searching for templates that contain a specific SOC code.|
Optional. Enter Employment Goal if searching for templates that contain a specific Employment Goal. The wild card character may be used in the Employment Goal field in any of the following ways:
|SE Goal||Optional. Enter checkmark in SE Goal checkbox if searching for templates that contain a Supported Employment goal.|
|Service Options||Optional. Enter a checkmark in appropriate Service Option(s) checkbox(s) if searching for templates that contain a specific Service Option(s).|
|Authorization Type||Optional. Select Authorization Type from drop down list if searching for templates that contain a service for specified Authorization Type.|
|Service Provider||Optional. Select Service Provider from drop down list if searching for templates that contain a service for specified Service Provider. Note: The Service Provider as well as the Case Service Description may be selected from a Vendor Service Search.|
|Start Date of Service||Optional. Enter Start Date of Service if search for templates that contain a service with specified Start Date of Service.|
|Case Service Description||Optional. Select Case Service Description from drop down list if searching for templates that contain specified case service description. Note: The Case Service Description as well as the Service Provider may be selected from a Vendor Service Search.|
After information has been completed:
If there are any templates that match the information entered, the Identify/View Templates Window displays.
The Title Bar indicates the number of templates found that match the search criteria.
Template Information includes the Template Name, Template Type, the individual (User ID) who last modified the template, the date the template was last modified, the individual (User ID) who created the template, and the date the template was created (use vertical scroll bar to view Date Created).
Use horizontal scroll bar to see templates that do not display on the screen.
Other Command Buttons on Identify/View Templates Window
Click: View Button to view the contents of a Template. The template record must be highlighted. Note: If the Template is viewed, outside of a case, from the Search Template function, it can be modified.
Click: Help Button to access appropriate Help topic.
Other Command Buttons on Search Templates Window
Click: Vendor Search to complete a Vendor Service Search.
Click: More Info to view more information on the Service Provider. (More Info Button is enabled only if Service Provider has been entered.)
Click: Cancel to return to previous window.
Click: Restore Last Search to enter information used in the previous Search Template function.
Click: Help to access appropriate help topic.
