New York City Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) for Students with Disabilities
Purpose of Grant
New York City Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) for Students with Disabilities (Pre-ETS for SWD) - Provision of Pre-ETS to New York City students with disabilities (between the ages of 14 and 21) who need such services and are potentially eligible for Vocational Rehabilitation services.
New York City Pre-Employment Transition Services for Students with Disabilities will result in contracts for a five (5) year project anticipated to begin on October 1, 2020 and end September 30, 2025.
Eligible applicants are community school districts (CSD), either as an individual CSD or as part of a consortium of two (2) or more CSDs. District 75 and District 79 may submit either as an individual district or as part of a consortium with one (1) or more CSDs. As this grant is targeted to middle schools and high schools, New York City elementary schools are not eligible to participate.
Eligible applicants must have experience providing education, work based learning experiences, job readiness and/or related services to students with disabilities who have a IEP or 504 plan. Applicants must have a working partnership with the local ACCES-VR District Office and must also collaborate with at least two community partners (refer to project requirements).
Amount of Funding
There may be up to 5 contracts awarded, one (1) for each in New York City borough: Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. If applying for one or more boroughs, applicants must submit a separate proposal for each borough. Each approved borough specific project will be funded at up to $300,000 per contract year unless additional funding becomes available in future years.

All questions must be submitted via E-Mail to Pre-ETS@nysed.gov by January 28, 2020. A complete list of all Questions and Answers will be posted to ACCES procurement website no later than February 11, 2020.
Non-Mandatory Notice of Intent
The Notice of Intent (NOI) is not a requirement for submitting a complete application by the application date; however, NYSED strongly encourages all prospective applicants to submit an NOI to ensure a timely and thorough review and rating process. The notice of intent is a simple email notice stating your organization’s (use the legal name as it appears in the Statewide Financial System (SFS)) intent to submit an application for this grant. Please also include your organization’s NYS Vendor ID. The NOI due date is February 28, 2020. Please send the NOI to Pre-ETS@nysed.gov
