Who Should Apply

Candidates for the scholarship must be:

  • A New York State resident
  • Enrolled in a graduate Rehabilitation Counseling Program

Preference will be given to individuals with a disability.

Each candidate will be evaluated on his/her demonstrated commitment to the advancement of opportunities for individuals with disabilities to gain employment and live independently. An in-person or telecommunication interview with the Scholarship Committee is required for all scholarship finalists.

Applications are accepted continuously, and must be received with required attachments by June 1st to be considered for the scholarship for the following fall semester. The award is announced in September.

Awardees must agree to participate on a Scholarship Selection Committee for two years.

  • references: name, address, e-mail and telephone number of two persons who will serve as references
