Core Rehabilitation Services

Core Rehabilitation Services (CRS) are a combination of Unified Services (formerly Unified Services Contract) and Supported Employment services, which includes: orientation, assessment, work readiness, job placement, services to youth, supported employment intensive and extended, assistive technology/rehabilitation technology, driver rehabilitation and adjunct services.

Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) for Potentially Eligible (PE) Students with Disabilities (SWD) are a Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) are designed to address the career development needs of students with disabilities who are not already receiving vocational rehabilitation services. Pre-ETS prepares students with disabilities for employment, explores their post-secondary education options, develops their employment related soft skills and assists them in obtaining work experience. Pre-ETS provides a meaningful way to enhance the development of a student’s career direction. The goal is for Pre-ETS to prepare students to become engaged in their own transition and vocational planning as well as for successful long-term employment consistent with their individual strengths, abilities, interests, and informed choice.

Reader's Aid Program

New York State Education Law, specifically Education Law Section 4210, to provide financial assistance to eligible college students with disabilities. Funded by New York State, RAP is administered by the Office of Adult Career and Continuing Education Services–Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR). The program supports eligible students by helping them access necessary services and resources to achieve their educational and employment goals, promoting their academic success.

Reader's Aid Program is available for colleges and students

Interpreter Services

ACCES-VR provides sign language interpreter services and/or video remote interpreting services to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing to assist them in accessing and participating in vocational rehabilitation (VR) services. These services are provided through contracts with pre-approved vendors. The following are guidelines and forms related to scheduling, billing and reimbursement for these services:
